KATIE HAS:
+ Award-winning bed head.
+ An insatiable sweet tooth (first priority to donuts.)
+ An Ohio-shaped birthmark that's now covered with a dolphin-shaped tattoo (A questionable choice in 2004. An iconic 80s throwback in 2023.)
+ The tears of my father saved in a jar after telling him I traded my Northwestern D1 field hockey scholarship for a theater degree... *jazz hands*
+ Starring credits in a movie that filmed at a nudist resort.
+ A vibrant passion for living a vegan lifestyle. #VFTA, babayyy.
+ Two highly-spirited, highly-tiring toddlers who are my favorite people on the planet.
+ A strong commitment to cultivating FUCK YES energy.
While Katie feels like the above bullet-point-game is the best way to get to know her, she also feels like she's supposed to say certain backstory-type stuff...so if you want to learn more, keep reading...
A proud Chicago native, Katie decided to keep it local and attend Northwestern University. Two years in, she chose to trade in her Division I hockey scholarship for a degree in theatre and film (insert parents' cries here)! It was the best/scariest decision she ever made, and - after graduating from Northwestern - she began her pursuit in comedy, studying at Second City, Comedysportz, iO, and eventually landing at The Groundlings in LA.
Some of Katie's commercial credits include a Bojangles commercial campaign [shooting 4 spots as their Master Biscuit Maker (one alongside golfing great Bubba Watson)], as well as spots for Walmart, Samsung, NY Life, NFL, The General, and more.
Some movie credits include: Act Naturally (the first feature film that she co-wrote, co-produced and starred in), supporting roles in Go For It [opposite Aimee Garcia (of Dexter), distributed by Lionsgate], This Is Now [opposite Alicia Minshew (of All My Children), Nadia Bjorlin (of Days of Our Lives), and Luis Moncada (of Breaking Bad), and Real Mother [opposite Case Walker (of HBO Max's The Other Two)].
Katie’s currently developing a Vegan cooking show and is SO STOKED about it! She’s a firm believer that animals are here with us, not for us, and she’s thrilled to share how easy (and delicious!) vegan cooking can be.
